Combining events: our simple rules
- One city per day. Dakar and Saly are more than an hour apart by road: don't combine two distant venues on the same day.
- Diamniadio by TER. The train links Dakar to Diamniadio in about 45 minutes; the last one leaves around 10 pm, so plan a ride-hailing car for late sessions.
- Saly for the day. The Day Pass (1 500 FCFA) lets you watch several beach events and leave and come back to the venue.
- On 31 October, leave early. One motorway lane is reserved for delegations for the opening ceremony, and about 50,000 spectators are expected.
- Tickets are non-refundable. The ticket image can be downloaded 7 days before the event.
